This same wiper motor less gear (608092A) has been fitted since the late Mk2 version 1968/9 and is still used on the latest twin points but is wired up to give 2 speed and intermittent wipe. Also see MSSK2005 conversion kit.
A necessity in this day and age. Comes with a new park switch and if your loom is not making proper contacts a repair section with plug is available as 520161.
A new bracket in stainless steel and rubber sleeve to hold the motor are available as 37H4836.
