Although you don't think of them as wear items, I have seen the ball joint seats stretch to the point where the ball joint threads were well below the arm which in means you cannot tighten the nuts properly. (This happens from repeated over-torquing of the ball joint!)

You may also want a pair to replace the negative camber arms the previous owner installed.
