Original AP Lockheed type metal body master cylinder.
Fitted with a plastic cap a metal original alternative is available seperately as 17H5323.
Ensure the correct DOT4 or DOT5 brake fluid is used as these cylinders are not homologated to use anything else such as Castrol SRF for racing or any mineral fluid. AP changed the cylinders from the golden colour to a light olive colour. The reason for this is that all products must be free from Hexavalent by 2007 which gives this gold colour during the plating process.
These regulations came out in 2003 as the "End of life vehicles 2003".
0.70" bore size, these were remanufactured again from Oct 2003 after originally being replaced by the plastic reservoir type.
