CLIP TO RETAIN ACCELERATOR CABLE (PEDAL END)

This clip fits on the pedal to help retain the throttle cable.

It has now ben made obsolete but the spring on the carb end keeps it from sliding out.

Its probably just a security feature on HS4 carbs at the time.
